Do I Need To Set Goals?By: Mike Johnson
Have you ever wondered why some people never achieve a fraction of what they dream of?
It's because if they don't set goals than all they are doing is just dreaming.
When you understand how to set goals you have the key to success and attaining all your dreams. It's like taking a trip.
Right from the start you know your ending and you have a goal for when you will get there. Along the way you will know whether or not you can take more time or you need to hurry based on your progress.
When you set goals, you will know how you are doing and what to do to achieve your targets or dreams in life. You will know if you can relax or if you need to double your efforts when you're falling short of what you expect.
The fact is that when you set goals you are coming from a place of positive expectancy and are already on your way towards success. Part of the process will have you thinking through possible obstacles with a solution oriented mindset and that will give you confidence and help you solve these challenges before they become a problem.
After you have set goals in place it will be easier for you to check your progress towards your goal. You will find that checking your progress along the way actually helps with your confidence as well as keeping you on track to reach your goal.
Some people think that once they have set goals they're done. Well they are wrong. If all it took to be successful was having a goal then every 5 year old girl in America would have a pony. All kidding aside besides taking the time to set goals you have to take action. That means that you must always be moving towards your goal. As long as you working toward your goal and you determine never to give up you will eventually achieve success..
The key to being successful when you set goals, is setting goals for yourself that are realistic and based on your capabilities, you also need to take into account external factors that may contribute to achieving your goal. If you're too ambitious when you set up goals sometimes they are unrealistic and difficult to achieve. But be careful that you don't set goals that are too low either. You goals should be something that get you excited and if they're too low that won't happen. The other critical factor to when you set goals is making sure you have a deadline. Someone once said that goals are dreams with deadline and I agree.
If you don't have a date that you are going to reach this goal by then all you are doing is dreaming. Setting a date puts an end to just thinking about it and prompts you to get started. As you set goals and begin to achieve them, even if you are only partially successful, be sure to congratulate yourself which will help you stay motivated. That isn't to say you should be comfortable with minor success. Keep striving to achieve the total goal. The fact is you can set goals for any area of your life. They can be personal, professional, spiritual, family or finances. No matter what area you are setting the goal for just make sure it's measurable and it's a goal you want to reach. Whether you want to make another $10,000 per year or you want to make a million the process is the same.

Chapter 1 - Introduction to Traffic Exchanges
Getting Started
Traffic is the lifeblood of any website. Whatever your website is or does, without traffic
it will not work.
Traffic exchanges (TEs) were created with the lofty goal of allowing the users to gain a
steady stream of traffic to their website without the cost of PPC and without the
difficulties of SEO. In this series of reports we’re going to consider how to get the most
out of TEs and, you’ll be pleased to know, it’s a lot easier than you might think.
Before we begin, it must be understood that the traffic that TEs generate is relatively
untargeted. This isn’t to say that the traffic isn’t valuable, it’s just important to realise
that TEs are not a silver bullet.
For maximum effect, TE use should be approached in a very specific way and should
only be used as part of a wide spread of different traffic generating techniques.
OK. Now the disclaimer is out of the way, let’s begin by considering exactly what a
traffic exchange is and how to get started.
What Is A Traffic Exchange?
The philosophy of a traffic exchange is simple:
You visit someone else’s website and, in exchange, someone else visits your website.
The traffic exchange provides a simple control panel for performing this function while,
at the same time, ensuring that users don’t cheat.
Virtually every traffic exchange (and there are many), have their own unique twists and
themes, but the basic principle is absolutely the same.
The majority of traffic exchanges are free to join (there are some exceptions, but we’ll
discuss that later on) and, once you’ve opened an account with one, it takes just a few
moments to get started.
We will discuss other traffic exchanges and the variations later on as well but, for the
sake of consistency, we’re going to mainly focus on just one traffic exchange to use as
an example.
To get the most out of this report, I recommend joining this exchange so you can follow
along with the steps.
If you are interested in receiving the entire report on Traffic Exchange FREE please shoot me and email along with your EMAIL and I will get it out to you right away

Small Thinker vs. Big Thinkers -- See The Vision
Without vision and purpose you are bound to fail. Most small business owners, inventors and entrepreneurs are born with an innate sense of vision and they think "big". The hardest thing for a small thinker to deal with is a person with DREAMS, ASPIRATIONS and a person who sees NO limit on what they can do or where they can go; a person who is creative and inventive.
Large thinkers drive small thinkers crazy. THEY just don't get it. I have a friend who is a "small thinker" a 9-5 girl shall we say and my thoughts and ideas about things drive her absolutely insane and she actually gets angry. I would like to say I was born with this mentality but it actually took years of fighting myself and frustration beyond words to get to the point where I surrendered to the idea of living out my dreams and having a "BIG" vision for my life.
Folks we only live once and once it's done it is done. No second chances, so why settle I say!!
Association is key. If you want to succeed I suggest you cut the ties with the small thinker in your life and start forming relationships with like-minded people. People who understand vision. Who see great things for their future, who see beyond what today shows to them because more often then not today is only a smidgen of the reality of what your life is made of. If you allow too many "small thinkers" to enter your circle of friends and associates you are putting yourself at risk for allowing their "small thoughts" to penetrate your success and the way that your think. Keep in mind the physical body. When you have one eye that sees more poorly than the other one the bad eye will begin to draws it's strength off of the good eye and begin to drain the good eye. This applies to people as well.
Vision is something some men have and others do not. Without vision it is unlikely that you will know the long term goals of your business. Vision is like a dream where you see a picture of what you want your business to be and what you want your business to do for you. The stronger your vision the more able you are to plan your quarterly, yearly and 5-year goals.
Grab on to your vision and do not let go. Do whatever it takes to keep that vision before your eyes and chase it down if you have to. Imagine how a child is in the store when they want some candy. They will yell, scream and tug at you until they get what they want. That is the picture I want you to have as you pursue your vision. I want you to fight for what God has placed in you. Your vision will ultimately be the thing that gives substance to your life. It will give meaning and value to your days and create an environment of success.
Some tips for defining your vision
1. Write down where you see yourself 5, 10 and 20 years from now
2. Write down 5 goals or objectives to get there
3. Write down your purpose in that vision. What role are you playing
4. What people are involved in the vision
5. Write down a few inspirational quotes when you are feeling let down or defeating

I am tired of being SCAMMED!!!
Some Tips on avoiding work at home scams
*Know exactly who you’re dealing with. The company may not be offering to employ you directly, only to sell you training and materials and to find customers for your work.
*Don’t believe that you can make big profits easily or the so called “get rich quick”. Operating a home-based business is just like any other business – it requires hard work, skill, good products or services, and time to make a profit.
*Make sure you get all the details before you pay someone. A legitimate company will be happy to give you all the information you need about exactly what you will be doing when, where and for whom.
*Get references for other people who are doing the work. Ask them if the company kept its promises.
*Be aware of legal requirements. To do some types of work, such as medical billing, you may need a license or certificate. Check with your state attorney general’s office. Ask your local zoning board if there are any restrictions on operating a business from your home. Some types of work cannot be done at home under federal law. Look for the nearest U.S. Department of Labor in the government listings of your phone book.
*Know the refund policy. If you have to buy equipment or supplies, ask whether and under what circumstances you can return them for a refund. Please do not pay to find out about a company. If the company asks you to pay a small fee for information on their positions keep walking.
*Beware of the old “envelope stuffing” scheme. In this classic scam, instead of getting materials to send out on behalf of a company, you get instructions to place an ad like the one you saw, asking people to send you money for information about working at home. This is an illegal pyramid scheme because there is no real product or service being offered. You won’t get rich, and you could be prosecuted for fraud.
*Be wary of offers to send you an “advance” on your “pay.” Some con artists use this ploy to build trust and get money from your bank. They send you a check for part of your first month’s “pay.” You deposit it, and the bank tells you the check has cleared because the normal time has passed to be notified that checks have bounced. Then the crook contacts you to say that you were mistakenly paid the wrong amount or that you need to return a portion of the payment for some other reason. After you send the money back, the check that you deposited finally bounces because it turned out to be an elaborate fake. Now the crooks have your payment, and you’re left owing your bank the amount that you withdrew.
*Do your own research about work-at-home opportunities. The “Work-At-Home Sourcebook” and other resources that may be available in your local library provide good advice and lists of legitimate companies that hire people to work for them at home. You may discover that these companies hire only local people and that there is nothing available in your area. One legitimate source I have found is The Homejobstop which I am a member of. Offers up to date job offering in every area. Do not hesitate to check with the BBB on any company
*Be cautious about emails offering work-at-home opportunities. Many unsolicited emails are fraudulent. Just keep in mind SPAM.
*Find out if there is really a market for your work. Claims that there are customers for work such as medical billing and craft making may not be true. If the company says it has customers waiting, ask who they are and contact them to confirm. You can also ask likely customers in your area (such as doctors for medical billing services) if they actually employ people to do that work from home.

(Listen, I'm all for making money. I've got a beautiful home. I drive a BMW
Roadster Convertible. I travel a lot. I'm all for making money. But NOT by tricking,
cajoling, misleading or manipulating others at a breakneck pace of an offer an
hour.)
The fortune is in the list.
If you had a dollar for every time you've heard that said, well, you'd already have
a fortune! :-)
However "broken-recordish" it may sound, it IS a truthful statement. The
fortune REALLY IS in the list.
Fact is, if you possess the knowledge of how to grow and profit from opt-in lists,
you can pretty much write your own ticket.
Now, to be sure, list marketing has MANY parts.

Throw in words like
"autoresponder", "opt-in page", "conversion", "open rate", "delivery", "offers",
"permission", "bounce", "white / black list", "call to action", "personalization",
"subject line", "confirmed", "click-thru / click-thru rate", "targeting", "unique
click", "hard / soft bounce", "demographic", and "campaign", along with a gazillion
other terms, and it's easy to see why so many people don't ever get to the pot of
gold at the end of the rainbow.
While there are many parts, I believe there is only ONE system.
It's not "my" system, it's THE system.
Everyone uses the same basic system. Some do it better than others. Some
understand it better than others. Some explain it better than others. But, at the
end of the day, it's the same system.
